Every quarter, employees are recognized for their outstanding efforts and contributions to Ally. The GAS Station would like to further highlight these individuals in our newsletter in our continuous effort to learn more about the individuals with whom we work. The 3 individuals highlighted below were randomly selected from the pool of winners from the Q2 Recognition Program.


Name: Sergio Diniz
Position: CFO, Banco GMAC S.A.
Quote: “Sergio worked with outside financial advisors to analyze the legal contingency, develop arguments and negotiate with local council.” – Mike Kanarios
Interests/Activities: In his free time Sergio likes to get involved with people and friends, including community related issues (received the 2008’s Community Leadership Award by GMAC then) as well as church activities. He also likes to scuba dive (up to the point of diving with white sharks on a cage), watch soccer games (fan of Brazilian team Corinthians), photography, video games, reading (about anything), cooking and winery. But his favorite hobby is traveling, especially with family on vacations: knowing new places, meeting different people and experiencing varied food and flavors. He spends a relevant amount of time planning for his next vacations to guarantee they will be always memorable and have succeed well so far, with great pictures as souvenir, including a live hunt by lions in Africa.
Sergio is also a director for IBEF (Brazilian Institute of Finance Executives) for the second mandate, dedicating time for the better recognition of Finance professionals, by providing them with opportunities to discuss topics of interest, participate in technical seminars and have contact with key public figures on the Finance area.
